creative way to use the light from the window blinds

yesterday,

we were sitting in front of the window, and the light on Ewelina’s face was amazing… . I know that sometimes what looks amazing in real life does not look even good in a picture.

I was afraid that with those stripes from the blinds her face will look weird, and the pictures won’t look good, but I gave it a try… just to experiment a little.

I think it came out not too bad… :-)

De Young, San Francisco

Our trip to San Francisco had started from visiting De Young museum in Golden Gate Park.

Next time if we go there we’ll spend much more time inside this elevator. It’s an awesome place for somebody who loves, loves, loves reflections, but at the same time it’s not for somebody who haven’t figured out white balance, and doesn’t want to use any other mode than manual… Grrrr. Next time I’ll be going up and down until I get at least one decent shot :-)

But… look at Ewelina’s face! She had a blast with us!

A few shots from the view point.

ah… and a shot of Joanna while capturing me and Ewelina . It looks like she’s happy with what she captured… :-)

… and of course reflections… the coolest room ever!

Streets of San Francisco

A few days ago me my little turtle, and Joanna went to the City. We had something like a “kind of plan” of what we want to do, and where we want to go.

This is link to the route we walked.

It’s not quite accurate, because I do not remember all those streets we’d turned onto… :-) Joanna should remember, she had the map.

For the first 4 miles we took MUNI bus. It was terrible. With the stroller, our camera’s bags, diaper’s bag, bus driver barely speaking English, and bus full of first grade kids… ufff… next time we need to find better transportation.

I’ll post pictures from “de young” in my next post.

These pictures are not quite in the right order…

the rest of mine pictures are do dupy, and not worth to show… :-/
that’s why we need another trip to the City… SOON!!!

New Brighton State Beach, CA, and Emily Dickinson

Going to Heaven!
I don’t know when –
Pray do not ask me how!

Indeed I’m too astonished
To think of answering you!
Going to Heaven!
How dim it sounds!

And yet it will be done
As sure as flocks go home at night
Unto the Shepherd’s arm!

Perhaps you’re going too!
Who knows?

If you should get there first
Save just a little space for me
Close to the two I lost –

The smallest “Robe” will fit me
And just a bit of “Crown” –
For you know we do not mind our dress
When we are going home –

I’m glad I don’t believe it
For it would stop my breath –

And I’d like to look a little more
At such a curious Earth!

I’m glad they did believe it
Whom I have never found
Since the might Autumn afternoon
I left them in the ground.

My family at the beach…

Capitola, CA. New Brighton State Beach.

Ewelina’s first visit at the beach. It was fun.

Dad’s wish was not to be on any of my pictures…

So I said ok. Your wish is my command! (Yea! Right!)

I’m lucky I’ve got Ewelina. She is such a great model, and I don’t have to be sneaky with her…

Upside down baby

… or upside down picture… ;-)

My macro works a little bit different. My little one wouldn’t sit/lie still… so I could take some macro shots of her… SO, there it is… Marco shot – a little bit different.
